Getting in the mood for some Football? feeling like a little Samba in excitement? We defiantly are all geared up for the Brazil World Cup here in the office. As the footballing super tournament is about to Kick Off tomorrow the 12th June 2014, we thought we’d share some delights that we have stumbled upon in Google Street view.

We are fully fledged Google Map super fans and we have fully documented that in our blog, we also really do love all things 360 Virtual Tours and also a little bit of Football here at Photoplan. So below are some fully immersive, fun examples of the power of 360 Virtual Tour technology and Google Maps combined.

Brazil here we come (well virtually anyway) 🙂 Goooooooooaaaaaaallllllllllllllll Goal Goal Goal Goal!!!!!! Goooooooooaaaaaaallllllllllllllll Goal Goal Goal Goal!!!!!! Goooooooooaaaaaaallllllllllllllll Goal Goal Goal Goal!!!!!!

Rua Tavares Bastos Rua Tavares Bastos – Football seems to be literally everywhere in Brazil and this amazing football pitch is a perfect example of that, it’s in the middle of what looks like a Favela. The beauty of this pitch is you have an instant crowd/supporters looking out of the Kitchen window or your Mum or Dad cheering you on while you score your first Hat Trick!! The next Neymar could be playing here in the future, no doubt… Brazil 2014 Mascot

Fuleco –Each FIFA World Cup since 1966 has its own mascotWorld Cup Willie, the mascot for the 1966 competition, was the first World Cup mascot, and one of the first mascots to be associated with a major sporting competition. This years is a cute and cuddly Armadillo called Fuleco, the footballing crazy nation has Painted him everywhere including the streets.

Brazilian Street Art

Rua Tavares Basto – Graffiti artists created this colourful wall to celebrate the World Cup. This piece of Street Art is a celebration of the World cup, but not everyone is that pleased with the amount of money spent and this collection of anti world cup street art documents that perfectly.

Maracanã, Copa do Mundo 2014

Maracanã, Copa do Mundo 2014 – The famous Maracana Stadium was originally built in the 1950 to host the World Cup, in which Brazil were beaten 2-1 by Uruguay. Whoever makes it this far, this time it will be a game to savour in the newly redeveloped Rio stadium.

Brazil Street Decoration

Rua Pereira Nunes – The “Galera da Pereira Nunes” group comes together each World Cup to decorate and paint this street, a tradition since 1986. Very Nice indeed.

Rua Cafe Filho – Another beautiful example of how this country is preparing to celebrate the world cup and this 360 Virtual Tour in Google Maps and Street View shows it off perfectly.
Joa - Rio De JaneiroCasarani – We throughly enjoy travelling and being able to do this with our jobs is even better, a few years ago we were asked to shoot a stunning Rio Super Pad with Infinity Pool, Plunge Pool and private driver on hand.  This is one of our own 360 Virtual Tours of this stunning tropical country, the views here of Joa and over to Rio’s Favelas and centre are stunning.  Wish we were there now 🙂
